The first-ever photograph made in a proper camera, titled "View From the Window" (created by French inventor Nicéphore Niépce between 1826-27) fell into obscurity for 47 years from 1905 to 1952, before Helmut Gernsheim and his wife, Alison Gernsheim tracked down the photograph. [Gudipati]
