Prolific inventor Thomas Edison is a 'Prime Person' - born
in the emirp year 1847, died in the prime year 1931. He
lived 53 years of his life in the 19th Century and 31 years
in the 20th Century, both prime numbers. The phonograph,
the invention which first gained him fame, was in the prime
year 1877. In 1983 Congress designated February 11,
Edison's birthday, as National Inventor's Day, 2,
