Proth_sieve can sieve numbers of the form k*2^n+/-1. It performs best on large n ranges and takes advantage of regularities in the distribution of remaining n values. This program is used for sieving in Seventeen or Bust, The Riesel Sieve Project, and The Prime Sierpinski Problem.
