Bodo Parady, a physicist by inclination, with a Ph.D. from Minnesota and a Post-Doctoral at UC Berkeley, is now a computer performance engineer studying the limits of computation and their relation to computer architectures. He is Sun's technical representative to SPEC (Standard Performance Evaluation Corporation). Number theory is one of many vices, including fishing, hiking (the discovery of the one time largest known prime was celebrated on Leavitt Peak with Joel Smith), algorithm development, education, and politics.
